Portsmouth JKA Karate Club

On the 29th of June 2013 the K2 played fabulous hosts for JKA England’s 10th anniversary national championships. An amazing 837 entries from all over England took part in what was a full day for all. Havant JKA Karate Dojo entered 3 competitors. It was a full on day given the sheer volume of participants from starting through from Kata to the Kumite, the day flew by as the competitors were reduced to the finals in the early evening where spectators cheered as the finalists competed.A huge congratulations to William Cunningham who on his first competitive event won a bronze medal in Kata, Alfie Cunningham then followed this by not only retaining his Gold medal from 2012 in Kata but won it in the next age category, Our 3rd entry Andy Vincent should also be congratulated, although Andy may not have won a medal this shouldn’t detract from what a fabulous day he had in both Kata and Kumite well done. The three of you did us proud and to win two medals out of three entrants was an outstanding achievement for Havant well done.
